How Can We Help You Smile Near Krum?

I Need A Checkup & Cleaning

The American Dental Association recommends having a routine examination and cleaning every 6 months to prevent common dental concerns, like cavities and gum disease. Our team near Krum welcomes patients of all ages, and we include an oral cancer screening as a standard part of routine appointments to help catch it early enough to improve potential prognoses. We might also recommend a topical fluoride treatment, especially for children, to help strengthen your enamel at the end of your visit.

I Want To Enhance My Smile

One of the first things other people notice about you is the quality of your smile, and it’s natural to want to make a positive impression. If you’re feeling self-conscious about imperfections, such as chips, cracks, stubborn stains, or mild misalignments, you might benefit from one or more cosmetic procedures.

Our practice near Krum offers a variety of services, including veneers, direct bonding, metal-free restorations, and in-office and take-home professional teeth whitening solutions to help you achieve your smile goals.

I Have a Cavity/Broken Tooth

Historically, oral healthcare providers relied on metallic amalgam to treat damaged or decayed teeth, but today our compassionate providers use resilient, tooth-colored materials that can be customized to match your natural enamel for more lifelike results.

For instance, we offer tooth-colored fillings that can often be completed in a single, hour-long visit. We can also provide standard dental crowns made from resilient ceramic, as well as E4D one-visit restorations using state-of-the-art software and an on-site milling machine to reduce potential wait times.

I Am Missing One Or More Teeth

Tooth loss can make once-basic tasks, like eating, speaking, or smiling confidently, much more challenging. Thankfully, Dr. Balington and Dr. Karim offer multiple solutions to help rebuild your smile and can devise an appropriate treatment plan based on your unique circumstances and the number of missing teeth.

For instance, we might recommend dental implants to replace a single lost tooth, while a dental bridge can be ideal for closing wider gaps left by one or more consecutive missing teeth. We can also provide custom-fitted partial or complete dentures to replace some or all of your missing teeth.

I Am Concerned About Gum Disease

The earliest stage of gum disease, gingivitis, can sometimes be halted or reversed by flossing more consistently at home. But if your condition has already progressed, you’ll require professional intervention to address it.

Dr. Karim is an accomplished periodontist and offers options like a two-part deep cleaning (scaling and root planning), soft tissue laser therapy, and/or antibiotics to eradicate harmful germs that cause the disease, remove unhealthy materials, and encourage your connective tissues to bond with your enamel.

I Am In Pain & Need Help

Dental emergencies often happen when you least expect them, so our team near Krum sets aside time for same-day appointments to handle urgent issues as they arise. We also offer nitrous oxide sedation, commonly known as laughing gas, to help ease anxiety while helping you feel calm and comfortable throughout your visit.

We’ll examine your mouth and may need to take diagnostic X-rays or other images to determine the main problem and the extent of any damage done. Then, we’ll provide a customized treatment plan for your approval. Whether you require a root canal or some other service, we’ll walk you through the details so you know what to expect before we proceed.

How We Make Dental Care More Affordable

Sometimes, patients hesitate to get the dental care that they need because they are worried about the cost. If that’s the case for you, then you’ll be happy to know that there are two financial solutions that are available at our dental office near Krum: dental insurance and flexible financing. If you’d like to learn more about them leading up to your appointment, simply click on the icons below!

We Welcome Dental Insurance

o Do you have dental insurance? If you answered “yes,” then your provider may cover the cost of preventive care as well as a portion of the price of restorative treatments. So, don’t hesitate to provide us with your membership information when you call to schedule your appointment! Our team at Denton Dental Center is proud to work with several of the nation’s leading providers, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, and Cigna. As a result, we can help you navigate the ins and outs of your coverage and utilize any available benefits that you have.

We Happily Accept Flexible Financing

o It’s estimated that roughly 50% of patients don’t have dental insurance. If you’re in that boat, then consider flexible financing with CareCredit! This trusted third-party financier offers convenient payment plans so you don’t have to pay for the entire cost of your treatment plan in one lump sum. Instead, you can break it up into smaller, more manageable chunks that fit within your budget comfortably. If this sounds like the financial solution you’ve been looking for, then give us a call so we can provide further details and show you where to sign up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I find the best place to get dental work done?

Building and maintaining the healthiest and most beautiful version of your smile near Krum can be an incredibly personal endeavor, and it’s only natural to want to find the most qualified provider to help you. But if you’re seeking a new dentist, you might feel overwhelmed by the many options or have a hard time narrowing down your search results.

If you’re struggling to choose, it might help to take a few minutes to write down your main priorities regarding oral healthcare. For instance, do you need someone who is in-network with your insurance policy? Do you have specific dental issues that will likely require certain procedures that must be offered? Do you also have a family requiring dental care? Answering these types of inquiries for yourself can help you find a provider who checks off all the right boxes.

What’s the difference between a dentist and a periodontist?

Our compassionate providers near Krum collaborate to offer a comprehensive menu of services to meet the unique needs of people of all ages. Dr. Balington is an accomplished general dentist who earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He collaborates with Dr. Karim, a dedicated periodontist with specialized training.

You’re not alone if you’re wondering what the difference is between a general dentist and a periodontist. Typically, they both must earn an advanced dental degree from one of the 70+ institutions recognized by the American Dental Association. But then, periodontists undergo additional education and in-depth training focused exclusively on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease and dental implant placement and restoration.

What if I feel too anxious to schedule a dental appointment?

You’re not alone if you’re feeling nervous about sitting in the dentist’s chair, but some patients near Krum feel so anxious that they avoid scheduling the procedures needed to help protect or restore their dental health.

Thankfully, our team understands this and will do everything we can to help you get through your visit successfully. For instance, we often numb patients’ mouths with a local anesthetic before starting treatments to help avoid potential pain. We also offer nitrous oxide sedation, or laughing gas, which is inhaled through a mask placed over your nose while we work. This doesn’t “knock you out”, but prevents your body from responding to external stimuli, though you may not remember the details of your visit clearly afterward.

What if I can’t afford the required treatments?

Our office near Krum is in-network with most dental PPO insurance plans, but we understand that not all patients have purchased a policy. If you’re concerned about affording treatments, you’re welcome to apply for a flexible payment plan through CareCredit.

If your application is approved, you can divide your total invoice into more manageable installments that are paid over a designated period. Even better, they often have little to no interest, and benefits can usually be applied the same day you register.
